Nicolas Poussin (1594-1665) was an important painter in the French Baroque period in the 17th century and the founder of French classicism painting in the 17th century.

Nicolas Poussin admired Renaissance masters Raphael and Titian, and was obsessed with the study of Greek and Roman cultural heritage. Most of Poussin's works are based on mythology, history and religious stories. Although the painting is not large in size, it is carefully crafted and strives for strict sketching and perfect composition. The figures are solemn and elegant, and full of sculpture. The work is serious and philosophical in conception, with stable, quiet and sublime artistic characteristics. His There is deep emotion in the coldness of the painting, and you can get a glimpse of the artist's calm thinking.
